Hello,

Thank you for stopping by. Despite being a self proclaimed introvert, I love to chat and have a yarn. I love having time to reflect, to comprehend all the things in life that happen around me. With this in mind, I hope you find time to pause within my art and writing because I think we all need time to reflect.

My Story

I find myself asking what my story is. There is something about listening to the many stories that people have collected throughout their lives that I find incredibly intriguing. At times I am become fearful of sharing mine as the stories can be quite personal. But I think, as an artist, the work cannot be anything other than deeply personal. It has taken me many years to embrace who I am and accept that I will also continually change as I learn more and more about the world around me. With that acceptance also comes a freedom to create work, whether visual or otherwise, that primarily calm my ADHD brain, which never tends to sleep.

At the moment I am completing my Fine Arts degree and my work is developing but as I keep studying I am finding that I am drawn to create work that explores the impermanence of life whether that is natural or manmade. My work tends to be detailed yet minimal as I spend time exploring the tension that exists between the light and the shadows. There is a fine balance between the two that I am constantly trying to work out. I use a lot of different materials as I’m still figuring out what I am drawn to the most. In saying that, I love working with charcoal, graphite, oils and watercolour alongside photography and written musings.

I like to think of this online space, whether it is through my website or on social media, as a way of sharing my experiences and journey as a creative person. I hope you find some inspiration amongst all of it to either get going on your creative journey or get back into it.
